Collection Cover Up Stick Review

I purchased this item in Honey Beige 14 not too long ago for only £1.99 from Superdrug, and I have to say, it was a beautiful bargain!

At first glance, the cover up stick looks a bit dull and unattractive, however, at least we know that Collection are not wasting money on fancy packaging, and can hope that the quality of the product sells itself rather than an attractive casing. Let's be honest, it's easy to buy a product simply because it "looks pretty" (guilty as charged!), only to be disappointed to find that it is really not that amazing.

The cover up stick has a smooth consistency and can be effortlessly applied to the face, provided that your skin has already been moisturized. The product is perfect for covering up any blemishes, dark under eye circles or evening out skin tone and works as a pretty good concealer. 

Personally, I would feel confident enough to only use this product without a foundation. However, I believe that this depends on how much coverage you desire. If you wanted heavy coverage, I would advise applying the product to the areas that need the most coverage, and then smoothing it out gently, but not blending it into your skin. Afterwards, mix some of the product with your daily moisturizer and apply it evenly to the entire face, making sure everything is blended in. Then I would advise finishing it off with applying loose foundation in order to settle the product and prevent the dreaded "shiny face".

Overall, I found that this product is an extremely good bargain and would definitely recommend it, as it does what it is meant to do for a pretty reasonable price!
