Mini E.L.F. Haul & Review! | Miss Minikin

Hooray! e.l.f has arrived at Superdrug! I know I must be a little late to jump on this bandwagon, since I'd purchased a few e.l.f. items as soon as they were available to order online and thought that I'd use them for a while before I reviewed them 😊.  I believe that e.l.f. is somewhat on par with NYX, though correct me if I'm wrong! I'd heard of e.l.f. cosmetics from people on YouTube, but hadn't ever actually managed to get my hands on any products since nowhere near me stocked them. Did anyone else have this problem or do I live in a countryside? So, thanks, Superdrug! (not spon, I wish lol)

Here's what I bought:

e.l.f. Matte Lip Colour, Praline£4.50
  • Not too drying
  • Beautiful nude colour, though a bit more brown than I'd expected
  • Nice opaque colour
  • Layer-able
  • Smooth consistency

e.l.f. Highlighter Brush, £4.50
  • Nice and fluffy
  • Firm brush
  • Great for applying highlighter and blush

e.l..f Makeup Fixing Mist & Setting Spray, £4.50
  • Fantastic purchase!
  • Held makeup in place for hours
  • Smoothed any texture from foundation and concealer
  • Dries fairly quickly

e.l.f. Eyebrow KitMedium£4.50
  • A good match for my dark hair, I tend to buy lighter eyebrow products as I don't think I suit bold, dark brows
  • Possibly a bit too dark if you actually have medium hair!
  • Powder and gel work well together

e.l.f. Lip Scrub Exfoliator, Mint Maniac£4.50
  • Smells (and tastes!) nice
  • Exfoliated lips well

This was my first time purchasing any e.l.f. products, and clearly from my mostly positive reviews, I was very impressed! e.l.f. seems to be an affordable, high quality cosmetic brand, which is exactly what fellow uni students like me need. I'm glad that this brand is now easy accessible, and I'll definitely be purchasing more e.l.f. products in the future. Although my favourite affordable brand still has to be Makeup Revolution for now, since it's so inexpensive! My favourite purchase from this mini haul has to be the setting spray, as I now use this everyday and can't believe that I'd ever gone without it!

Thanks for reading!
